The Seattle Ski Club at Snoqualmie Pass is a ski-in/ski-out club located at the foot of Summit West. Our lodge offers the amenities you need for a comfortable and convenient stay at the mountain with easy access to the surrounding ski areas and beyond.

The Seattle Ski Club

For over nine decades, the Seattle Ski club has been a beacon of winter sports excellence. As a non-profit entity, our primary mission is two-fold:to foster the love of winter sports and to offer a welcoming haven to skiing, snowboarding, and mountain enthusiasts of every age.

Established in 1929 by pioneering Norwegian immigrants, the club holds its roots in the thrilling tradition of ski jumping on the slopes of Beaver Lake at Summit West. These visionaries quickly transformed into a pivotal force, catalyzing the initial growth and promotion of winter sports at Snoqualmie Pass.

Today, the Seattle Ski club remains steadfast in its dedication to the mountain community. Our members benefit from a year round mountain retreat situated at the base of the Snoqualmie Summit slopes. This exceptional location provides ski-in/ski-out convenience, parking, gear storage, and comfortable sleeping arrangements.

A Rich History

The Seattle Ski Club was the premier ski race promoter in the early 1930s in the PNW. Although primarily interested in ski jumping, the club was home to some of the best local slalom racers, cross country skiers, and jumpers throughout the ‘30s and ‘40s.

The SSC owned the prominent “Big Hill” ski jump located at Beaver Lake on Summit West, which today is known as “Class-A,” an out of bounds run somewhere in the mountain. Moreover, the club played an influential role in the initial establishment and development of ski jumps in the Hyak area.
